Lloyd R. DuBois

Managing Director

Lloyd DuBois is responsible for managing Elysium's turnaround practice. Lloyd specializes in providing investment banking services to middle market clients focusing on corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and recapitalizations. Lloyd has extensive experience in raising debt and equity capital for companies in a turnaround mode, including companies operating under adversarial conditions with lender and/or suppliers. Lloyd has been active in mergers and acquisitions and management buyouts and has experience at every level of the capital structure including senior and subordinated debt, as well as equity. He has experience with a diverse group of industry sectors including manufacturing, distribution, transportation, food processing and forest products.

Since founding Elysium Financial, he was associated with:

  • Macadam Capital Partners. As a Managing Director and one of four founding partners of Macadam, he was the partner in charge of corporate recovery and reorganizations. He was responsible for many large workouts and turnarounds in the Pacific Northwest. He also served in interim management roles as CEO and CFO for clients undergoing restructuring. Lloyd organized, structured, consulted and served as financial advisor to many businesses in various industries executing corporate restructurings, merger or acquisition strategies, placement of senior debt, subordinated debt and equity. From 1994 to 1997, Macadam raised over $300 million in financings for its clients in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Elysium Consulting. As a sole practitioner from 1986 to 1994, Lloyd specialized in workouts and turnarounds of middle market companies. Lloyd has been involved in the restructuring or rehabilitation of over one hundred companies. His experience included successful engagements in on-site operational and financial management where stabilization and recovery is required. In the course of his assignments, he had substantial involvement with banks and financial institutions, debtor-creditor relations, management buyouts, divestiture and business strategy.

    Lloyd received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Oregon and has been involved in the local finance and insolvency community since 1986. His professional affiliations include acting as the President of the Northwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association for the last two years. He is also active in community organizations and clubs, having sat on budget committees and acting as a board member.
